In 2017 Fraya premiered Community and Stardust at Celtic Connections. It was described as "a musical and rhetorical triumph, a coherent argument beautifully structured” - David Francis, TRACS.

Community and Stardust explores how interconnected we all are and the importance of recognising this. She worked with seven musicians spanning folk, through Classical and jazz and a filmmaker to make the piece.

Below you can hear a solo version of one of the themes, “For The Water Protectors” composed as an energetic offering to the community who protested against the building of the Dakota access pipe line.

Performing as a finalist in the Princess Margaret of the Isles Memorial Prize 2018.
