Director Eleanor Mortimer was inspired by Phrenetikos to make an accompanying film. I met Eleanor when studying at the National Film and Television School where we struck up a collaborative bond.
In this textural exploration, Eleanor and I explore our feelings relating to 'belonging’ in 2020’s Britain. In a deviation from our usual process, Eleanor was compelled to create a visual response to my EP ‘Phrenetikos’.
The film was born out of a shared fascination with what it means to ‘belong’ in a constantly-shifting world, and how to find community and overcome loneliness.
